It took us half an hour to get the girls into their house last night and it was dark by the time we left the allotment, but this morning they looked quite content and seemed to have had a good night. Nick said that I gave them too much straw, and it did seem as they were very comfortable as they were reluctant to wake up and they eventually came out to a lot of stretching and shakeing of tail feathers.
They are still quite scatty today but less than yesterday so progress is being made albeit slowly.
