We have planted the potatoes at Old Basing. Remember the varieties that we got at the Potatoe Fayre well here they are in the order in which they should be ready to harvest i.e. first earlies, second earlies etc.
This is the largest bed that has been well manured so we are confident of a good crop this year. One benefit of potatoes is that they break the soil well down giving a good loam for next year. That is the theory anyway.
